Ts'kw'aylaxw Elders

The Elders have recently submitted an application to become a formal Society.  Once the application is approved to become an official Council the Elders will call a meeting to have nominations and elections.  A letter was mailed out to all Elders age 55 and older.  Once the application is approved and a date is set another letter will be mailed out.

Ruby McKay is now working as the new Elders Coordinator and will be coordinating this years Elder Gathering Trip to Vancouver in August.  For more information or to sign up for this trip please contact Ruby McKay at the Band Office by phoning 256-4204.

Language

Language classes has now finished for now.  We have completed our CD and Primer and those will be distributed to all houses on reserve.  If you would like a copy you may pick one up at the Administration Office.  Contact Sherry Kane for more information.

Elders Group

The Elders have been having meetings and discussions around forming an Elders Society.  A mail-out went out to all Elders over the ages of 55 informing them of the meeting and allowing for time for input.  As information comes we will post it on this site.
