When we CLEAN our gear and equipment thoroughly after using them in different water bodies, we can remove any hidden hitchhikers like invasive plants or animals. DRAINING all the water from our boats, kayaks and other watercraft ensures that we don't unintentially transport any unwanted species to new habitats. Lastly, DRYING everything completely helps to kill off any remaining organisms that may have survived the cleaning process.
